On August 27th Habitat for Humanity held our 2nd Family Picnic . To mark the start of the school year the  HFHCSS Family Committee sponsors a Back to School picnic for Habitat families. The picnic was at Veteran Memorial Park located at 19101 South Halsted in Glenwood  from 12:00PM to 4PM.

There was plenty of food, games and fellowship. This year Habitat partners with the Zakat Foundation who donated 25 book bags along with school supplies which allow all the school-aged kids who have RSVP’d  a free book bag. Additionally we offered  free haircuts to all of the young boys ages 3 to 17 years. We were glad to see everyone and we  enjoyed a fun-filled day with our families.
